Do you remember when I invited you to my screened porch here ? We’d “gone to the birds” with our wrought iron shelf decor.
Well, the weather here in central Ohio has been absolutely glorious—clear, bright blue skies, a nice breeze, and in the high 70s—perfect for outdoor dining~ BREAKFAST, LUNCH, or DINNER ~in our screened porch, of course!
And it was the perfect opportunity to once again use my PB bird plates (thanks to Yvonne at Stone Gable, who used them on a lovely table of hers). I had to have them, and off my husband and I went to the PB outlet about an hour from home.
You can see the bird touches on the shelves in the background.
The water bottle was a fun purchase last summer at White Magnolia, the loveliest of shops, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. And the little birdie is a pitcher—I guess like a creamer or a vase?? I’ve only used it as a vase.
My Nicodemus robin that I’ve had for years, and has made appearances on many of my tables, because I love this chubby little guy!
Good morning, Sunshine!
Twig place card holders, from Pottery Barn, I think, seemed just right for the occasion, along with the PB goblets from PB’s early years—a gift from my MIL that I’ve enjoyed over and over and over. I guess they’re “vintage Pottery Barn” now!
edie rose home Bloom collection S&P, by Fitz & Floyd, a gift from our son and DIL. :)
The Blue Hour is upon us…lovely time for dinner.
When I saw the twinkles in the goblets I couldn’t resist adding this picture…I hope you like it as much as I do.
How’s this for perfect for our Dining with the Birds centerpiece? A robin’s egg I found in our landscaping this spring. Never fear…I researched what to do with it and learned that by the time I found it it had probably gotten too cold, and besides, there was no nest nearby, so it had been stolen by some mean critter, so I gave it a home for a little while before disposing of it.
Do you like to have every.single.meal outside during warm weather? I find that I’m as bad as the little ones—I don’t want the lovely warm days to end, and I don’t want to go inside!
The table is set…please come join us!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll leave me a comment to let me know you were here—I read every single one of them! And if you like what you see a lot, maybe you’d like to +1 this post or pin it on Pinterest too! Thank you!
I invite you to follow me. If you’ll let me know that you’re following, I’ll be sure to follow you back.

I LOVE all the birds nesting and singing. They get HUFFY though when I try to GARDEN AROUND THEM. They are in my topiaries and my planters. "LOVE IT"! Your table is "GORGEOUS"! I had WANTED those dishes "SO BAD" and never did get them(BWaaaa). I'll just have to visit you all that have them TO ADMIRE and soak in their beauty. My VERY VERY Favorite thingy here OTHER than those plates "IS" the little birdie salt and pepper. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing,
Have a wonderful week,
Big Hugs,
Donna
Thank you for your kind invitation Zuni, I would like nothing better than to spend some time in your beautiful space. No wonder you want to spend all of your time out there...its gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWe like to eat outdoors once the weather improves which is great here in the land of Oz, but very limited when back in the UK.
Your photographs are stunning and I would like so much from you're table...that Nicodemus robin for one! :D We don't have a PB here (weep weep) :(
Enjoy the warm summer days and send some warmth through to here...we're heading into winter...Brrr!
Your table is beautiful, Zuni. I love those bird plates. We have many meals outdoors during Spring and early Summer, before the heat and humidity of NE Mo drives us inside!
ReplyDeletePretty table. I love the sun shots.
ReplyDeleteI love the bird plates and the "vintage" PB glasses. Everything is lovey, I see why you love to dine outside. Your "artsy" photo was great - I see all the sparkles!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table, Zuni! Love your chubby little robin ~ he's too cute! The weather has been gorgeous, hasn't it. I have secretly been hoping it might rain a little at night so I don't have to keep going out and watering the hydrangeas I just planted. : )
ReplyDeleteYour table setting is just beautiful! I love how the plates have a raised design on them. We eat outside quite often as long as it is not too hot. Can you believe this wonderful weather?? We are really enjoying our new pergola and spending alot of time outside.~Hugs, Patti
ReplyDeleteZuni, love your birds and the twig place card holders are so adorable. Beautiful tablescape! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteZuni, you table is lovely. I especially love birds, so this is perfect. The robin is so darn cute. Those twig place card holders are darling. The glasses are beautiful. I would feel very comfortable sitting at this table.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a magazine layout! Your photography has moved the bar up about five notches from my capability! Absolutely PERFECT! I'd love to come and sit at your table and talk to you in person!
ReplyDeleteTammy
Your table is lovely, Zuni! I love the new plates, I saw them at the outlet but I resisted! My nest is getting too crowded!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks very inviting.
I like eating outdoors, but our wrap around porch isn't screened in, so if it is buggy, no thanks! :)
Thanks for linking to Let's Dish!
Your screened porch is a lovely place for dining and so inviting. I love your little birds and the basket centerpiece. The evening shots are beautiful, too.
ReplyDelete"Vintage Pottery Barn" You're a hoot!!! I guess they have been around for awhile now, and so anything that was purchased there in the earlier years is certainly on the verge of "vintage" in our world! :-) I remember when it first opened...I was like a kid in a candy store. I wanted it all!!!!!! You are really lucky to have an outlet store so close to you. If there was one near me, my husband might NEVER see me!!!!! This is a pretty table, and I really like your choice for a centerpiece. It really goes well with the other pieces on the table. I'm with Kathleen....we don't have a screened porch, so eating outside is a rarity for us. We do it mostly just when we entertain, and then Ramon has to spray ahead of time to kill every bug in the air so I don't freak out. If we had a screened porch, I'm sure I'd be out there most days, especially in the morning. I really do like to linger over a mimosa or a cup of fake coffee while watching the world outside. Yesterday I stood out in the yard and just closed my eyes and listened to the birds singing. It was really nice. There was just a little bit of breeze, and it was just perfect. Weird that the robin's egg was just sitting there! You would think that the creature who stole it would have devoured it. Poor baby robin! The family that moved into the nest on our back garage door has finally moved on. We weren't able to get to the water faucet over there without the threat of a dive bomb from the mother!!!! Your table is beautiful as always, my sweet! Glad to see you back for a bit. Have a fabulous weekend!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteZuni, I just returned from Dillard's and they had birds everywhere in the china department. Then, I came home and saw this! It is darling and I am really envious of those adorable salt and pepper shakers. How sweet! The blue on the table is just perfect and I love how everything looks in the evening shot. Don't you just love eating on the porch???
ReplyDeleteI could surround myself in your beautiful setting! That chubby little bird is just the sweetest. Thank you for your sweet comment about the peonies in the black and white vase. And I hope you get the nerve to go knock on that door for some peonies :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Zuni,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun table scape and theme!
Thanks for sharing,
Laura
Zuni, this is a perfect sunroom table, and your sunlight pics are fantastic! I can see why you enjoy this space. I found an Eastern Bluebird egg out in the open the other day. It's smaller than a Robin's but about the same color blue. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love those plates with the birds...and that fat little robin is adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely tablescape. Love the colors and the birds, plus what a great space to enjoy. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI love using birds in home decor, so of course I think your table is just delightful. Your Nicodemus robin is really beautiful as well as the dishes. Thank you for joining me this week at Your Cozy Home Party!
ReplyDeleteYour bird table is wonderful. I especially love your vintage PB twig place card holders! We eat most of our meals on the screened porch too. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet comment!
